Today is a big day for CBL, the space got its first laser cutter. Brett Coulthard from Frivolous Engineering has donated a laser cutter to the space. We now have it all hooked up and have done a few test cuts and engravings. With the laser cutter, 3D printer, electronics lab, and dirty work space we are ready to start on some awesome projects.
So when can you use the laser cutter? We are currently working on drawing up some safety checklists and instructions to train people on the safe use of the laser cutter. Currently myself (Brett Park), David Gerhard, and Bill Whales have enough knowledge to get it up and running. If you really need to get things done come down on this wed night, otherwise check it out at the AGM Sunday March 3.
